It is always such a treat to spend time with our nephews! Upon our arrival, Connor, Spencer, and Trey insisted on taking us to the "dead end." It is a fun spot for the boys with lots of trees for climbing. Connor explained, "this land belongs to the kids of the neighborhood." Every kid should have a dead end for exploring!
Trey, our all-American boy, at the dead end.
Trey, Connor, Dave, and Spencer practice their balancing skills on a fallen tree.
Cade loved swinging!
The sandbox was everyone's favorite activity of the night. Drew was completely absorbed in his own little world as he played in the sand.
The older boys built some pretty cool sand castles, one even had a moat completely dug around it!
Today we got a lot accomplished in working on the kitchen. Dionne learned this morning that they finally had received a permit to remodel the kitchen so we were able to start the demolition of the old kitchen.

Here's what we started with.
By the time we left, we had all of the shelves above the sink and stove removed plus the pink tiles. We also knocked out a wall from a closet on the side of the kitchen. Whew!
The three older boys were all great helpers with the demolition. They all took turns hitting down the closet wall with their hammers. They are such great kids, we're so glad to have them close! We're looking forward to seeing you again!

How Exciting! I'm addicted to 'Design on a Dime' on HGTV. Reminds me of remodeling stuff on your own. Best of luck! They have some great low cost ideas you can check out online.
Thanks for posting these Amy -- Matt's expression was exactly what you thought it would be. We are excited for this change. Thank you both so much for your help!
