Lancaster County

Coralee had to get back to California for work and left us on Monday afternoon.   On Wednesday March 14th Mom, Dad, Josh, and I drove out to Lancaster County, PA for a gorgeous day visiting Amish Country!
Our first stop was at the Amish Farm and House  in Lancaster where we enjoyed walking around the farm and walking around the one-room Amish schoolhouse.  The schoolhouse was set-up with help from the Amish community to give us visitors an idea of how their schools operate.

It was a really cute classroom!

Around the farm there were a lot of cute animals.  This goat city was really fun!  It was pretty funny to see them climbing all over this bridge.

A cute miniature horse.

Josh at 18 months.

Getting up close and personal with a particularly friendly sheep.

We drove from Lancaster to Intercourse, PA.  Despite its interesting name, it was a beautiful and quaint town!   We loved seeing the Amish horse-drawn carriages.

Josh had so many goodies to eat on our day-trip!  Here the lucky boy is sharing an ice cream with his Grandpa.

A team of horses hard at work on a farm. We all loved seeing this beautiful part of the country and the opportunity to appreciate the Amish and Mennonite culture and lifestyle!

Great pictures, Amy. Too bad we couldn't be there all at the same time. We LOVE Lancaster county!

Josh is growing up so quickly. . . you're a cute momma, of course :)
