By happenstance we were downtown last night and discovered there was a free performance on The Green by the East Village Opera Company. They fuse opera and rock music and are really fantastic! Here's a video we found on youtube of one of their best pieces, "The Flower Duet" by Leo Delibes.

Ah, the memories! I love that duet, and this is a beautiful arrangement. Maybe we could do a similar adaptation involving guitars. Hmmm . . . have to brush up on the French, I guess! Thanks for sharing :)
